1. Black Bart’s Steakhouse | Flagstaff

2. Crystal Restaurant | Peach Springs

This one might win for the most unexpected location.

The Crystal Restaurant at Grand Canyon Caverns is located 210 feet underground inside a network of caves. Guests descend 21 stories by elevator, tour the caverns, and then dine at one of only four tables surrounded by ancient rock formations.

If eating dinner underground has ever been on your bucket list, this is the place to do it.

3. Delgadillo’s Snow Cap Drive-In | Seligman

A Route 66 road trip wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Delgadillo’s Snow Cap.

Built largely from scrap lumber in 1953, this colorful roadside spot serves burgers and shakes alongside vintage cars, visual gags, corny jokes, and playful service.

It feels just as much like a roadside attraction as it does a restaurant, which is exactly why it’s worth stopping.

4. Mammoth Steakhouse & Saloon | Apache Junction

Head toward the Superstition Mountains and you’ll find a restaurant that feels like a trip back to the Old West.

Located within Goldfield Ghost Town, Mammoth Steakhouse & Saloon channels an 1890s saloon with rustic Western décor and surroundings that make the entire experience feel like you’ve stepped onto a movie set.

5. Mr. D’z Route 66 Diner | Kingman

If you love retro diners, you’ll want to save this one.

Mr. D’z fully embraces its Route 66 roots with a turquoise-and-pink exterior, checkerboard floors, a jukebox, and plenty of automotive memorabilia.

Order a classic burger and homemade root beer, and don’t forget to grab a photo while you’re there.

6. Organ Stop Pizza | Mesa

This is definitely not your average pizza night.

Organ Stop Pizza is home to an enormous Wurlitzer theater organ that rises above the dining room while musicians perform everything from Broadway songs to pop favorites.

The unusual concept dates back to 1972 and has become a classic Arizona experience that everyone should try at least once.

7. Rustler’s Rooste | Phoenix

Rustler’s Rooste takes the Western steakhouse theme to another level.

8. Sugar Bowl | Scottsdale
