Scottsdale Fashion Square Announces Exciting Upgrades to Palm Court

September 25, 2025

Macerich, the center’s owner and operator, has unveiled plans to enhance the heart of the mall — the Palm Court, a popular hub for dining, community events, and fashion shows.

The project, set to begin in January 2026 after the holiday season, will transform the Palm Court into a brighter, more welcoming gathering space. Updates include:

  • Modern Design – A sleek new look with raised ceilings, improved sightlines, upgraded lighting, and refined finishes.
  • Lush Landscaping & Seating – Comfortable spots for shoppers to relax and recharge.
  • Expanded Dining Options – New restaurants like Edo Japanese Grill, offering teppanyaki-inspired meals, sushi rolls, poke bowls, and boba, joining the already diverse lineup of Mexican, Chinese, and American favorites.
  • Striking Digital Display – A dynamic three-sided screen will serve as a vibrant visual centerpiece for the space.
  • More Convenience – Expanded restrooms and refreshed dining spaces for added comfort.

“Scottsdale Fashion Square is a consistent leader in our portfolio, and we’re committed to continuing to raise the bar,” said Kim Choukalas, Senior Vice President of Leasing at Macerich. “This project creates a place where shoppers can relax, engage, and connect — while enjoying a truly elevated experience.”

A History of Luxury Enhancements

This update follows a series of successful renovations at Scottsdale Fashion Square:

  • In 2018, the debut of the luxury wing anchored by Neiman Marcus introduced iconic brands like Dior, Saint Laurent, and Nobu.

  • In 2022, upgrades extended the luxury experience with a multi-lane valet and space for upscale restaurants. New dining hotspots include Élephante and Catch, with Society Swan opening this fall, Teleferic Barcelona this winter, and Din Tai Fung arriving in 2026.

A Valley Icon

As part of Macerich’s Arizona portfolio — which also includes Arrowhead Towne Center, Chandler Fashion Center, and Kierland Commons — Scottsdale Fashion Square continues to be one of the state’s most visited destinations. Together, these centers represent more than 7 million square feet of retail space, employing thousands and contributing significantly to the local economy.

Shoppers can expect minimal disruption during construction, and the refreshed Palm Court is slated to be complete in time for the 2026 holiday season.
