New Restaurants (and More!) Coming to Heritage Park in Gilbert

Heritage Park, one of the most anticipated developments in the East Valley, officially broke ground this week—marking the beginning of a vibrant new chapter for the Heritage District. This dynamic 10-acre destination is designed to bring together restaurants, retail, luxury living, and community spaces all in one walkable, welcoming environment.

Here’s what you can expect from this exciting new addition to Gilbert:

 A Culinary Hotspot in the Making

Leading the charge on the restaurant front is Flagship Restaurant Group, known for trendy, high-quality dining concepts. They’ve secured a 14,000-square-foot space at Heritage Park to open three of their most popular restaurants in the East Valley:

• Ghost Donkey – A lively mezcal and tequila bar with a bold, upbeat vibe

• Palma – A breezy, tropical-inspired cocktail lounge perfect for happy hour

• Blue Sushi Sake Grill – A fan-favorite offering sustainable sushi with a modern twist

These spots will set the tone for the development’s unique culinary identity—and that’s just the beginning. More restaurant and retail tenants are currently in the works and will be announced soon!

 A Thoughtfully Designed Downtown Destination

Located at Gilbert Road and Juniper Avenue, Heritage Park spans a full city block and is being developed by Creation in partnership with Crescent Communities, a nationally recognized developer known for building community-centered spaces.

The first phase of the project will include:

• 47,000 square feet of retail and dining

• NOVEL Heritage Park – a luxury apartment community with 288 upscale residences

• 300+ surface parking spaces

• A lush public square featuring water elements, walking/biking paths, shaded landscaping, and public art

When Will It Open?

The first wave of restaurants and retail at Heritage Park is expected to open in 2026, with the NOVEL residences welcoming new tenants in spring 2027. Construction is being led by LGE Design Build, and Phoenix Commercial Advisors is managing retail leasing.
