The MICHELIN Guide announced today a brand-new distinction: the
MICHELIN Key, recognizing outstanding hotels that excel in design, architecture, service, and personality. Featured on the list are two nods to Arizona –
Ambiente, A Landscape Hotel, the first-of-its-kind concept for North America in Sedona, and
The Global Ambassador, Sam Fox’s internationally inspired hotel in Phoenix, both of which debuted in 2023.
While the MICHELIN Star recognizes the most outstanding restaurants in the world, the MICHELIN Key does the same for hotels, denoting the crème de la crème of the selection. Over the last four years, MICHELIN’s selection team of passionate, independent experts vetted, scrutinized, and ultimately determined more than 5,000 remarkable hotels for inclusion in its Guide. Out of thousands of hotels, those offering the most outstanding stays were awarded the special MICHELIN Key distinction.
The 2024 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection in the United States now includes 16 Three Key hotels, 70 Two Key hotels, and 207 One Key hotels.
Ambiente is the only hotel in Arizona to earn a
Two Key distinction.

One Key properties.
